The camp does a great job of building hockey skills and doing team building activities to make sure all campers feel welcome and a part of the community during their week at camp. "This summer, my 8-year-old son Charlie attended the Northerner Hockey Camp in Green Bay, and it exceeded every expectation we had.

From the moment we walked into the rink on Day 1, the energy, professionalism, and passion from the coaching staff were obvious. Gaven Bickford and his crew ran a top-tier program from start to finish. Every day was packed with value — from high-tempo on-ice drills and structured off-ice training to classroom sessions that actually kept the kids engaged. There was even time carved out for team lunches, which gave the kids a chance to bond and reset before hitting the ice again.

What impressed me most wasn’t just the organization and skill development — it was how much fun Charlie had. I honestly thought he’d be exhausted by the end of the week. Instead, he was begging me to let him stay forever. His exact words: “Can I do every single camp in Wisconsin next year?”

"My daughter did this camp last year and just did it again last week. She loves the camp and all of the instructors. When I was bringing her to her last day, she was sad that it was going to be over and wanted to keep doing it.
