Welcome to The Northerner Hockey Camp - located in the beautiful Breezy Point, Minnesota. We offer a fun and friendly environment for boys and girls to enjoy the game, develop new skills and learn from the local best. The Northerner Hockey Camp is locally owned and operated by Emily Erickson, former D1 College Hockey Player and current Junior Hockey Coach Gaven Bickford. We believe in having fun and providing young athletes with the tools to become great hockey players and knowledgeable fans of the game. July 5th-8th 2021. Day Camp at Breezy Point Ice Arena 2 Hours of Ice 1 Hour of Dry-land Lunch, Jersey and Camp Shirt Provided The Peewee/12U Hockey Camp is ideal for hockey players that want to improve their control, agility, reflex, technique, edge, and muscle retention skills. A typical day is from 9:45am to 3:30pm. Each day players start with an hour of ice, then proceeds to dry-land, lunch and ends with another hour of ice time. Morning ice time is geared towards developing each player’s individual skill with emphasis on power skating, edge work, stick handling and shooting. The hour of dryland will consist of fun, age-appropriate off-ice exercises that help deliver the agility, balance, coordination, strength and skill training that young players need to complement their on-ice play. Athletes will then get an hour for lunch and rest. We source all of our meals from local restaurants and are firm believers in #SupportingLocal! Afternoon ice sessions focus more on team play and competitive games. Each day ends with a short scrimmage. This time really develops each players passion for the game and gives them a chance to implement the skills from the previous ice session. All programs are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. All programs are subject to availability.
